Jasbir Sidhu
Jasbir Sidhu holds an honours degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Manchester and an MBA from Surrey University. He has studied and worked in the Nuclear Industry for over 35 years and is one of the UK’s leading Nuclear Risk Analysts.
Jasbir is the founder of Corporate Risk Associates (CRA - November 2000) and was at the helm for 24 years. CRA is one of the largest integrated Risk, Safety & Human Factors consultancies and is renowned for the delivery of 1st class quality services to the nuclear industry. Today, CRA is part of the Assystem family, which is a major, leading, independent design engineering company in the Nuclear World.
In January 2022, Jasbir was appointed as the President of the UK Nuclear Institute and served a two-year term. The journey with the NI continues - Jasbir is the Past President and an Executive Board Member that promotes professionalism in the Nuclear Industry.
Today, Jasbir is the Managing Partner of Nuclear Capital LLP and the Nuclear Consultant to Lloyd’s Nuclear Insurance Syndicate 1176, which is part of the Chaucer Group. Key focus areas - Finance, Insurance, Licensing, and Advisory across national and international nuclear projects and programmes.
In his spare time, Jasbir is an enthusiastic choral singer and enjoys walking his dog, Juno.

Virginia Crosbie
Virginia Crosbie is a founder and Director of Nuclear Capital LLP, Board Director and Trustee of the Nuclear Institute and Chairman of SONE.
A former MP for Ynys Môn (2019–2024), she chaired the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Small Modular Reactors and served on the Nuclear Finance Bill Committee.
A leading advocate for new nuclear, Virginia was instrumental in securing the government’s commitment to build Wylfa. She combines political insight, financial acumen, and industry leadership to champion clean, secure energy and regional regeneration.

Michael Dawson
Michael Dawson has more than 40 years’ experience in the insurance industry, having started his career at Lloyd’s in 1979. He joined Cox Insurance in 1986 where he was the Chief Executive from 1995 to 2002. He served on the Council of Lloyd’s from 1998-2001 and on the Lloyd’s Market board from 1998 to 2002.
Michael is the founder and Underwriter of Lloyd’s Nuclear Syndicate 1176 which is managed as part of the Chaucer Group. The syndicate was formed in the early 1990’s when Michael identified a need in the nuclear marketplace to provide vitally needed capital for nuclear insurance services. The syndicate is the world’s leading insurer of nuclear risk which is involved in all insurance aspects of insurance of the nuclear industry. He is also the deputy chairman of the Management Committee of Nuclear Risk Insurers Ltd (NRI).
Since 2016 Michael is a non-executive Director of the holdings board of Lancashire Holdings Ltd, a FTSE 350 insurer/reinsurer.
Outside of nuclear, Michael continues to champion the cause of clean energy. He was a Director of Bienneun Wind Farm Ltd, which is a 106 MW project in the remote Scottish Highlands.
Michael saw the project through formation in 2012 to financial close in 2015. Today, he is a Director of Beinneun 2 Ltd, a company seeking to develop a c.150MW extension to the existing Beinneun Wind Farm. He is also Director of a number of family companies.
In his spare time, Michael enjoys spending time with his family, and hiking in the countryside – he has a close interest in the Highlands of Scotland and conservation in Africa and is a Trustee of the Tuli Conservation Trust.

Tolga Uzuner
Dr. Uzuner is an experienced insurance operating executive. He has been a Chief Investment Officer (CIO) responsible for Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA), Asset Liability Management (ALM) and Investment Operations across balance sheets totaling over $3 Trillion of Assets and Technical Reserves.
Between Natixis, Brookfield and Apollo, Dr. Uzuner has executed 19 m&a transactions, de novo insurance company and sidecar creations, and large block reinsurance transactions, with a total of Technical Reserves in excess of $500 Billion in the US, Europe, Asia-PAC and Bermuda. He has also had significant insurance operating experience, and has executed two front to back de novo Clearwater and Aladdin implementations at two insurance companies.
Dr. Uzuner has held Board Positions in over 20 companies, 14 as Chairman. Three of these were independent memberships and the rest as an Apollo or Allianz executive.
He is a published practitioner in the areas of stress testing banking books for credit risk and on the joint defaults of sovereign and corporate credits in Emerging Markets.

Louis Plowden-Wardlaw
Louis is a seasoned solicitor specialising in cross-border nuclear law, banking, and corporate transactions. He brings extensive expertise in these areas as well as financial advisory, working with clients in North America, the UK, Europe, and beyond.
His diverse experience includes advising leading institutions such as the Royal Bank of Canada and North Asset Management on complex transactions, including banking law, asset sales, corporate acquisitions, project finance in the energy sector, derivatives, and fund structuring.
He is known for his commercial approach and strategic insight, adept at navigating intricate legal and financial challenges through the growth cycle, from structuring innovative solutions to resolving disputes efficiently. Representative deals include: structuring and investing in a marble quarrying company from geological survey to operations; managing an investment in a 288MWe offshore windfarm; building a publicly quoted real estate fund with circa 0.5Bn of assets and building $1Bn of value in a nuclear reactor vendor.
